Whisper a Prayer in the Morning, Noon and Evening
Prayer is communicating with God. Jesus, when He was on earth, spoke to all people. There was not one soul He turned away that wished to see Him. He did not filter the people who desired to speak to Him through His deciples. He asked that all people come to Him.
Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
1 John 3:1
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
Nothing has changed. Jesus wants us to communicate with Him. Maybe, just maybe, we only talk to Him when we are in need or having trouble, even so God delights to have us talking to Him.
With all our plans we should incorporate God as he knows best. We need to first ask God for help and he will work the rest out.
Proverbs 16:3
Commit your works to the LORD,
And your thoughts will be established.
Proverbs 16:9
A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.
Psalm 37:23-24
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the LORD upholds him with His hand.
There are only one or two reasons why our prayers don't get answered (this is stated in the Bible):
1. We do not ask God.
2. We ask for something that is not good for us. (actually, this is an answer, simply put, it is as if God says, "No, I know that this is not good for you, I have better for you")
James 4:2-3
You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
