Submit to God, Resist the Devil and he will flee from you
Jam 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Jam 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded.
1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing. 1Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1Th 5:19 Quench not the Spirit. 1Th 5:20 Despise not prophesyings. 1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 1Th 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1Th 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Th 5:24 Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it]. 1Th 5:25 Brethren, pray for us.
Consider these facts: Jas. 1:13. God tempts no one.
1 Chron. 21:1. The devil is the author of temptation.
Jas. 1:14. We are tempted through our lusts.
1 Tim. 6:9, 10. Covetousness causes many to fall.
Matt. 4:4, 7, 10. Temptation can be resisted by the word of God.
1Cor. 10:13. God will not suffer His people to be tempted above what they areable to bear.
2 Peter 2:9. God knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation.
Pray that we may be delivered from any temptations and that we may abstain even from even the appearance of evil so that we may accomplish the mission He has for us.
It really is not at all important that you know much about me, but it is really important that you know Jesus Christ..............
I mean, really know Jesus, so much so that you have accepted the gift of salvation that He wants to give you..................
If you do not have this kind of relationship with Jesus yet, please click on my photo above and you will be linked to my profile, there you will find several other blogs that I write....
Go to the Blog entitled "How to be sure you are saved"
..........
My desire is simply this, to provide the Word of God as a devotional. The studies are (and will continue to be) rich in scripture while my own personal comments are minimal. I pray for God to lead us as to what we will study each time. We invite you to study and pray together with us...........
May God richly bless each and everyone who comes here to study and pray together.
