Bread upon the waters
"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it." Isa 55:11
Yesterday, I was speaking to a fellow businessman, and I shared how I was praying for God's guidance and leading in what He wants me to do next. I was inspired by his comments. I have had some verses going around in my head since then and feel that God wants me to share these with whoever will read them.
What my businessman friend told me was something that was somehow a new thought to me and he said he had heard it in a sermon some time ago. Both thoughts are remarkable to me. (1) That God could give me a new thought that seemed so simple and clear that I would think I should have learned it years ago. (2) That God's Word is so powerful, that whenever anyone is willing to share it, it shall prosper.
"In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. " Pro 3:6,7
"Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days." Ecc 11:1
Praise our living God for His Word and His care for us. I would be very interested in hearing your experiences with God's word and His leading you.
It really is not at all important that you know much about me, but it is really important that you know Jesus Christ..............
I mean, really know Jesus, so much so that you have accepted the gift of salvation that He wants to give you..................
If you do not have this kind of relationship with Jesus yet, please click on my photo above and you will be linked to my profile, there you will find several other blogs that I write....
Go to the Blog entitled "How to be sure you are saved"
..........
My desire is simply this, to provide the Word of God as a devotional. The studies are (and will continue to be) rich in scripture while my own personal comments are minimal. I pray for God to lead us as to what we will study each time. We invite you to study and pray together with us...........
May God richly bless each and everyone who comes here to study and pray together.
