I've been "battling the enemy", do you know what I mean? One thing is obviously wrong with "that sentence".... it is the "I" part. We, ourselves, are no good at this battle. We must learn that our enemy is a "ruthless bully" but we have a Big Brother who can and will fight for us.Are you like me? I have to learn that over and over again. I am so glad HE is patient with me. Praise GOD for HIS love !
What does the Scriptures say about "battling the enemy"Exodus 17:8-16Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
Exd 17:9And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
Exd 17:10So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
Exd 17:11And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
Exd 17:12But Moses' hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
Exd 17:13And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
Exd 17:14And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this [for] a memorial in a book, and rehearse [it] in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
Exd 17:15And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:
Exd 17:16For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn [that] the LORD [will have] war with Amalek from generation to generation.
Praise GOD for those that will heed HIS call to "hold up the hands of GOD's servants" in the time of "battle"Matthew 16:19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. The promise is also for all of us who follow Christ (see John16:23). The keys are His wordsMatthew 18:18Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.Mark 9:29And he said unto them,
