One In The Spirit
"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Eph. 4:1-3 In what did Christ ask the Father in behalf of all that would be His disciples? "Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given Me, that they may be one, as We are." John 17:11.
Why did Jesus say HE prayed this prayer? "That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that Thou has sent Me." John 17:21.
What did the apostle Paul teach about this? "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." 1 Cor. 1:10.
As Christians what do we become? "Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular." 1 Cor. 12:27.
And being members of Christ's body, how are we to relate to one another? "So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another." Rom. 12:5.
As fellow Christians, how are we to care for one another "That there should be no schism in the body: but that the members should have the same care one for another." 1 Cor. 12:25.
As true Christians, no matter what denomination, what may we expect as that great day approaches? "Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion." Isa. 52:8.
When the lord comes, what will be the united cry of these faithful ones? "And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: this is the lord; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation." Isa. 25:9.
It really is not at all important that you know much about me, but it is really important that you know Jesus Christ..............
I mean, really know Jesus, so much so that you have accepted the gift of salvation that He wants to give you..................
If you do not have this kind of relationship with Jesus yet, please click on my photo above and you will be linked to my profile, there you will find several other blogs that I write....
Go to the Blog entitled "How to be sure you are saved"
..........
My desire is simply this, to provide the Word of God as a devotional. The studies are (and will continue to be) rich in scripture while my own personal comments are minimal. I pray for God to lead us as to what we will study each time. We invite you to study and pray together with us...........
May God richly bless each and everyone who comes here to study and pray together.
